In September 2011 we hope to launch our first ever Schools Outreach Programme.
In order to do this, we need to raise $15000 USD / £10,000 GBP. This money will be used to purchase all the equipment we need to start our Schools Programme. In our first year, we intend to take children aged between 9 and 11 from 12 schools and create 4 teams out of these groups. Each team will be made of a mixture of the various communities that make up Ireland, which include Catholics, Protestants, and Eastern Europeans.
Throughout the programme, they will be trained to play inline hockey and how to work as a team. The groups will meet weekly for 3 months, and this will be followed by a major tournament in which all their schools will come to support them.
As Ireland has just come out of 30 years of civil war between Protestants and Catholics, we believe inline hockey is a perfect platform to help the next generation of children to grow up together and no longer be separated. We also hope that our project will help to grow the interest in inline hockey.

This money will be used to purchase enough equipment to fully kit out 1 of the 60 children we intend to introduce into our Schools Programme.
